The Cakery is looking to hire someone who is passionate about food, desserts, and willing to grow this company together. We have been steadily expanding over the past year with various market appearances as well as offering our cakes on the dessert menu at Sushi Ota, Ken Sushi Workshop, and some other restaurants. Since we are a growing company, we are looking for people who can work with a flexible schedule to begin with! Must be reliable and have a passion for baking. You will begin working alongside our owner (Head Baker) until you become familiar with the process and products. Pay:
- Starting at $18.00-19.00 per hour for Baker depending on experience
- Start at $17.00 per hour for Baker Assistant
- Will start off part-time with the opportunity to expand to full-time
Job Description:
Baker: Work with our head baker in prepping and baking all goods.
Baker Assistant: Helping with prepping and cleaning before and after baking. Will also be trained to be able to assist in all baking aspects with pathway to upgrade into baker.
Qualifications
-For experienced baker: You must have at least 1 year of baking experience or working at a bakery
-For baker assistant: Prior baking experience is not required. We are looking for people who are excited and eager to grow this business with us! We want to create a positive environment with people who can work independently and care deeply about the products we are creating as well as excitement to learn.
Schedule:
- Day shifts (7:00am-1:00pm) Wednesday-Friday for now with some required Holiday and weekend shifts
- Extra early morning shifts for special events (including Holiday dates)

Requirements:
- A passion and love of the Cakery's products and brand!
- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
- High School diploma or higher
- Able to communicate well and understand and follow written and verbal instructions from the owner
- Ability to smell, see, and taste.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs (This position requires moderate physical activity)

License/Certification:
- Food Safety Certification (Preferred prior to starting)
