The intern will work closely with R&D oligonucleotide team and primary duties will include, but not limited to synthesis, deprotection, and purification of oligonucleotides, as well as analysis and characterization of oligonucleotide products. A Project presentation at the end of your internship will be required.Primary responsibilities for role:
Support oligonucleotide production and oligonucleotide characterization
Perform optimization, and troubleshooting as needed
Keep accurate and up to date records
Provide regular updates to scientist
Assist in the preparation of written reports
Presents results to colleagues at group/scientific meetings

Experience working in a laboratory is a plus.
Interest in oligonucleotide chemistry, previous experience is a plus.
Background in organic Chemistry is a plus
Pay Scale:The estimated pay scale for the Summer Intern Chemistry (DNA & RNA) based in San Diego, is $20 -$35 per hour . Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on education, experience, skillset, knowledge, where the role is performed, internal equity and market data.
