Sr Staff Engr, RF/WireJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Staff Millimeter-Wave/RF Validation Engineer to play a pivotal role in the development of innovative chipsets for Satellite Communications (Satcom), 5G networks, and radar systems. This critical position involves leading the characterization of state-of-the-art millimeter-wave transceiver front-ends and collaborating closely with the design team to enhance IC performance. The ideal candidate should be a motivated individual with a strong background in RF/mmWave testing and measurement, and possess significant experience in test automation and performance debugging.

Conduct comprehensive RF/mmWave testing using sophisticated equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum & signal analyzers, and vector signal generators.

Improve and expand existing test automation processes.

Analyze, compile, and present test data to the design team for review and action.

Manage the development process for evaluation PCBs.

Collaborate with design and applications teams in debugging activities and providing technical support to customersQualifications

A Master’s degree in RF/Microwave Engineering, with a preference for a PhD

At least 7 years of hands-on experience with RF test equipment, particularly in the validation and characterization of RFICs.

Extensive experience with active circuit blocks of a radio communication system (amplifiers, frequency converters, oscillators, attenuators, phase shifters, etc.) as well as passive and distributed microwave components (such as power dividers, couplers, transmission lines, etc.)

A thorough understanding of RF performance metrics such as S-parameters, Noise Figure (NF), P1dB, IP3, IMD, EVM and stability.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Matlab and Python.

Familiarity with PCB CAD tools.
