Pay Range: $82,000 - $85,000Directs the activities of teams/shifts of production workers across different shifts/and or work areas so that the established production targets, including volume, cost, safety and quality measures are met. Determines manufacturing priorities based on established weekly/monthly production schedules. We have ambitious plans for growth and need talented individuals to help shape and lead us into our next century.Directs and coordinates daily activities and development of production personnel engaged in the manufacturing and secondary operations of medical device components. This role will focus on the Cut Bands and Laser departments.Your responsibilities:

Responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of up to 20 personnel engaged in the manufacturing of precision machined parts.

Supervises employees on an assigned shift to ensure the manufacture of products or to perform other routine tasks, and some non-routine tasks within established timing, quality, and cost standards.

Planning and coordination of production activities to obtain optimum utilization of human resources, direct materials, and equipment.

Monitors the performance and output of the shift and may re-assign production activities to deliver set KPIs.

Advises Management of new developments that may affect profit, schedule, costs, customer relations and/or inter-departmental relations.

Schedules all labor within their assigned department which includes overtime, vacations, leave of absences, and training to ensure the timely completion.

Analyzes production data to improve management decisions regarding prioritizing, necessity of overtime, and other employee and production issues.

Weekly approvals of time records for department (Kronos).

Responsible for timely performance feedback and annual reviews.

Maintains a working knowledge of new technologies which may improve operations and develops recommendations accordingly.

CI understanding will be developed to a level whereby they will be involved in larger lean projects and potentially lead smaller area specific projects.

Escalates machining issues to planners/material control that may impact production schedules.

Ensures both self and team adheres to business/JM EHS standards at all times, and that production does not override EHS requirements.

Works with the team to ensure they understand EHS responsibilities.

Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements for the role:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree desirable.

4-6 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferably servicing the Medical Device Industry with a minimum of 2 years responsibility in a Lead role.

Working knowledge in progressive management technologies such as Lean Manufacturing, JIT, MRP, and ERP desirable.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
