This employment opportunity is being recruited by Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego on behalf of Children's Specialists of San Diego.JOB SUMMARY:This position is accountable for a defined patient population under the supervision of a licensed physician. Functions dependently in a staff position, implementing the role of expert practitioner, consultant, educator, and researcher within a specialized area of patient care. Performs within the scope of licensures and in accordance with hospital policies. Some positions will be responsible for being on call according to a predetermined schedule or as needed, pursuant to hospital needs.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Master’s DegreeCompletion of a Physican Assistant ProgramCurrent California Physican Assistant LicenseCurrent BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHAFurnishing number, State of California (must obtain within 1 year of employment)DEA license for position that require the writing of scheduled medications (must obtain within 1 year of employment)Medicare Billing Number (NPI-National Provider Identifier) - (must obtain within 6 months of employment)Certification: Physican Assistant, National Commission (must obtain within 1 year of employment)Successfully complete the credentialing process through Medical Staff ServicesSuccessfully complete the requirements of the delegations of Services for the assigned divisionPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:2 years of experience in specialty area as a Physican AssistantFormal in-service education and/or lecturing skillsBilingualThe expected hiring range for this position is $61.30 to $84.28Children’s Specialists of San Diego is committed to compensation that is externally competitive and internally equitable.
