Scripps Cancer Center offers advanced chemotherapy services throughout San Diego County, with locations in Hillcrest, Torrey Pines, Rancho Bernardo, Oceanside and Encinitas.The Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) will be joining our team at Encinitas. To be successful, the PIC will have experience in a high volume, infusion center, skilled in providing direction to a team, and able to work collaboratively with specialists. Responsibilities include:
Accountable for management, oversight and operation of all aspects of the pharmacy within his/her site including pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel management, inventory management, financial profitability and loss prevention.
Provides daily direction and supervision of pharmacy staff which is comprised of staff Pharmacists, pharmacy interns, pharmacy technicians and other support staff.
Development and performance management of all Pharmacy Staff, identification of critical business opportunities, establishing meaningful solutions to drive performance and growth and the successfully implementation strategic initiatives by managing the Pharmacy Staff to accomplish identified goals.
In the absence of the Pharmacy Manager, the PIC will act as the backup leader for the site. Any issues that are unable to be resolved by the PIC will be escalated to the Manager to be resolved.

Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.
Required:
BS Pharmacy
2 year experience as a practicing pharmacist.
1 year of supervisory experience.
Experience handling and processing insurances.
Current California Pharmacy License.
Preferred:
5 years experience as full time pharmacist
2 years experience as a supervisor
Experience in a high volume infusion center
