This makes the Aegis system the first fully integrated combat system built to defend against advanced air and surface threats.The WorkWe are looking for a strong leader to be both the resident subject matter expert of the Aegis Weapon System on the waterfront, the liaison between the onsite test team and the Moorestown engineering team, and a proven relationship builder.Responsibilities for this role include:Coordinating directly with the PEO IWS Flight III integration lead for test needs, planning, and remote or on-site support of Flight III ship combat systems.Coordinating with all external support and customer groups, including Navy PEs & POs, Navy support contractors, and ship’s crews, to support test planning, conduct, reporting, and problem/issue resolution.Coordinating installation and checkout of periodic computer program updates.Understanding and provide input to shipboard plans to ensure satisfaction of dependencies and completion of critical path tasks for the execution of Developmental and Operational Test events.Maintaining and track shipboard Integration and Test progress and report to Program Leadership to ensure verification of all shipboard test requirements.Relaying system issues identified during shipboard testing to the appropriate POCs for prompt resolution.Tracking software defect resolution applicable to planned shipboard test activities.Communicating staffing/skillset and resource needs for shipboard test events.Who We AreOur customers are world-wide and so is our reputation for creating original solutions with the latest technologies. (https://www.lockheedmartin.com/en-us/careers/why-lm.html)#rmshotmiljobsBasic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related STEM degree Active/Current DoD security clearance at the SECRET levelUnderstanding of design, continuous integrationand validation of software and hardware system level components Use/working knowledge of Unix and/or Linux Knowledge of the Aegis Combat System Strong communications skills (written and verbal), strong team leadership, administrative and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of ship testing, including component and system operation, system-level integration and verification of requirements, troubleshooting, test procedure execution, test reporting, and problem documentation and resolution, particularly as related to total ship systems and environments. Knowledge of Navy ship and crew environments, including structure, tasking, communications, and relations, and knowledge of Navy ship test approach, sequence, milestones, and process. Flexibility to work non-standard work shifts as needed.Desired Skills: Knowledge of ship design, production, and test environments, including the overall process of requirements analysis and verification, system installation/check-out, functional and total system test, and certification. Experience working closely with senior (O-5/O-6 level) customer and providing direct feedback on recommended approaches to problem solving. Availability to travel domestically. Availability to support at-sea shipboard testing. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leaderPay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $100,400 - $192,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.This position is incentive plan eligible.Pay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $115,500 - $217,500.
