JOB SUMMARY:This position is assigned educational responsibility of the Respiratory Therapy department and staff related to the coordination of the care given and functions at the advanced level of respiratory therapy practice. Supports the overall business plan by monitoring team performance and outcome, relative to the educational goals and development measures. Responsible for assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions affecting the cardiopulmonary system for children and adults. Selects and administers the appropriate care, taking into consideration the age, developmental level and size of the patient. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing. Exhibit a comprehensive grasp of clinical situations and the ability to mobilize needed resources. Must be able to provide respiratory care to patients throughout the hospital and be proficient in all patient care areas. Responsibilities include leading and influencing the daily operational activities of the Respiratory Therapy department and the assigned designated care area.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Associate's Degreeyears of experience as a Respiratory Care PractitionerBLS for Health Providers (AHA)NRP Advanced Provider (AAP)Ped Adv Life Support Prov(AHA)Registered Resp TherapistRespiratory Care PractitionerA degree from a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (Co-ARC) accredited Respiratory Therapist Program will be accepted in lieu of an Associate's DegreePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's Degree5 years of experience as a Respiratory Care PractitionerBilingual - SpanishPrevious pediatric experienceAdvanced CredentialThe current salary range for this position is $43.67 to $64.83A candidate’s placement in the range will be determined based on the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
