Location: Varies, multi-site worker
Hours: Full Time as assigned Monday-Friday; 40 hours per week; all program hours required
Salary: $18.31 per hour (all new hires begin at starting salary regardless of experience); Funding: 100% direct program approved by ELO 5.25.21
Benefits: $175 monthly towards health, dental, vision, voluntary and/or HRA; 403b Retirement Plan with a match of up to 2% based on years of service; initial 3 years, PTO accrued at 10.66 hours per month; after 3 years, 14.00 hours per month

Description:
Site Director - AM & PM - ASES is mandated to take all steps necessary to ensure the safety, security, and well being of students enrolled in the program. Responsibilities include supervision and interaction with students on a daily basis, individually and via group. This position is also responsible for ensuring paperwork is completed accurately and submitted on time.
Essential Functions
Communication:
Develop and maintain positive and professional relationships with staff, parents and children
Create and distribute program information including, forms, newsletters, calendars of activities, etc., internally and externally
Conduct regular parent meetings to distribute information, as well as obtain feedback and suggestions
Agency Leadership:
Provide overall control and direction of staff on how to interact with internal & external customers
Enforce progressive disciplinary procedures including Employee Corrective Counseling, while providing strength based support
Job Complexity:
Supervise day-to-day activities of the in-person and distance learning program while following contract
Provide regular supervision to reinforce strengths and work on challenges with subordinates
Develop and coordinate creative in-person and distance learning program activities that are appropriate for the enrolled students
Create and monitor student behavior plans and transitional plans when necessary
Maintain attendance and snack records
Ensure all administrative paperwork is accurate and completed on time
Assist students with distance learning assignments
Implement distance learning and activities
Work remotely on assignments during program closures
Accountability:
Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of students enrolled in the program
Collaborate regularly with the principal to ensure program meets expectations and provide supervisor monthly progress reports
Responsible for ensuring designated school space is maintained in a clean and orderly manner
Monitor and ensure employees’ timecards are accurate and approved in a timely manner
Open/Close site each AM & PM
Responsible for picking-up, maintaining and returning all devices being used during distance learning and remote working
Decision Making:
Judgments and decisions are guided by Harmonium and program policies, contracts and guidelines
Staff Supervision:
Responsible for supervising, coaching, training, directing and evaluating staff
Responsible for holding regular Site Meetings and Supervision Meetings to ensure consistency amongst staff as well as to review policies and procedures
Minimum Competencies:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must pass CAPE test or have a minimum of 48 college units completed
Must have either a minimum of 12 completed units in child development, elementary and/or middle school education, recreation or related field or a minimum of 12 months documented work experience in an ASES program
Must have 1 year supervisory experience of children & staff OR 1 year assistant supervisory experience within Harmonium OR demonstrated administrative and programmatic experience (ex. attendance tracking, staff counseling/training, student support, etc.)
Must have 1 year working in an afterschool program or group child care setting with elementary and/or middle school aged children
Must be able to work at least 90% of all program hours; their schedule must be pre-approved by supervisor and documentation will be required as proof for the schedule modification
Valid Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification required
Excellent organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
Excellent oral, and written communication skills
Good computer skills required
Valid TB results required
Must receive Fingerprint Clearance upon hire (paid by Harmonium)
Must have reliable transportation and when using personal vehicle must maintain valid driver’s license and current auto insurance
Physical Requirements:
Ability to operate computer
Frequent repetitive hand use and simple grasping
Occasional standing, walking, kneeling, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, reaching above, and below the shoulder
Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods
Ability to operate a vehicle
High energy needed with the ability to balance multiple high-stress tasks
Ability to work in noisy and outdoor environments
Occasional travel in San Diego County
