Japanese Teacher/Mentor
Fusion Academy is a comprehensive private middle school and high school, and a full-service tutoring facility. Some Fusion students exhibit special learning needs such as ADHD, LD, and emotional difficulties. Other students may be accelerated learners or need flexible scheduling. All Fusion classes and tutoring are conducted one-to-one. Fusion is a unique academic program offering services year-round on a rolling admissions basis.

Our San Diego campus has an immediate opening for a part-time Japanese Teacher. We hire based on shift-availability defined as M-F morning (8:30a - 12:30p), M-F afternoon (1:30p - 6:30p) and/or full-availability. A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required for consideration, as well as a higher level English and/or History background. Teaching credentials are a plus but are not mandatory. Experience with students with learning differences and ADHD is a plus as well as mentoring experience. Our ideal candidate is outgoing, well organized, competent in basic computer skills, and is an individual who is eager to work in a highly dynamic, energetic school setting.
This position provides a one-to-one teaching experience in the areas Japanesein both Middle School and High School settings. Subject matter knowledge in this area must be solid; candidate must be prepared to teach and tutor material at a high school level immediately. In addition to subject matter tutoring and teaching, this position includes significant student mentoring. Candidates with extended backgrounds in other subject areas are a plus!
Part-time positions (Monday through Friday) are available starting in January. Following a candidates hire, training will commence as soon as possible, and is required prior to the aforementioned start time. Part-time positions will have the potential for growth into full-time positions.
