GMAT/GRE Remote Instructor Position (8–12 hours/week, $100–$140/hr)

Are you a caring, thoughtful, and empathic teacher? We’re looking for talented instructors who are passionate about helping students overcome the barriers standardized tests can pose to pursuing graduate education. Join our team to deliver high-quality, student-centered instruction that empowers learners to achieve their goals.

This role involves:

Remote one-on-one tutoring

Online classroom teaching

Potential (though not required) in-person tutoring

While initial workload may be lighter, our ideal candidate would build up to 8–12 teaching/tutoring hours per week—almost entirely on weeknights and weekends. In the past, some instructors who wanted more work have taught 20+ hours per week.

If this sounds like you and you meet the qualifications below, we’d love to hear from you!

Required Qualifications

Test scores:

99th percentile GMAT (760+ on the old GMAT or 705+ on the new GMAT), or

167+ Quant and 167+ Verbal on an actual GRE, or

Verbal-only applicants: GMAT Verbal scaled score of 88+ (new version) or 45+ (old version). (Verbal-only applicants must qualify on the GMAT)

Please note: We are not hiring quant-only specialists at this time.

Teaching requirements:

Ability and willingness to teach all GMAT and GRE topics (unless you are a verbal-only applicant)

Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience (more preferred)

Understanding of and commitment to the Socratic method

Empathy, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage and connect with students from diverse backgrounds

Availability to teach primarily on weeknights and weekends

Compensation

Teaching and tutoring: $100–$140/hr (based on experience and format)

Preparation and training: $30/hr

Special projects: $50/hr

Please email the following as attachments to [email protected]:

A resume highlighting your teaching and test prep experience
