The New Haven, located in the vibrant Liberty Station area of San Diego, is dedicated to providing an enriching and nurturing environment for infants and toddlers. Our approach fosters independence, curiosity, and a love for learning. We seek passionate and dedicated educators to join our team as a Floater and a Toddler Teacher.

Position: Floater

Provide support across various classrooms as needed.

Assist lead teachers in implementing Montessori principles and practices.

Ensure a safe and clean environment for all children.

Facilitate smooth transitions and cover for staff absences.

Support children in their daily activities, fostering a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred.

Experience working with young children in a licensed childcare facility.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Position: Toddler Teacher

Plan and implement age-appropriate Montessori activities and lessons for toddlers.

Observe and document children's progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs.

Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.

Collaborate with parents and staff to meet each child's developmental needs.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom.

Qualifications:

An associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field is preferred.

Montessori certification (AMS or AMI) is preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of experience working with toddlers in an early childhood setting.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Passion for working with young children and a commitment to the Montessori philosophy.

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
