Blossom & Bloom Creative Arts in La Mesa is hiring! BBCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing accessible and inclusive programs with a focus on dance education. We're looking for a teacher to join our team but also need subs!
The right teacher would know how to maintain an upbeat and high-energy class with the ability to manage a room of dancers whether they're in preschool or middle school. At BBCA we put the child first and the dancer second. We are not a pre-professional school, we are recreation level with a dedication to excellence without sacrificing fun.
Please include a resume when applying for the position. Experience teaching dance to children is required. Applicants with Saturday AM availability will move to the top of the interview pile!
This is not an entry level position. Candidates must be willing to follow our curriculum & class expectations which will be discussed in the initial phone interview. If you've never taught children's dance (age 3-12) please do not apply. If you have no personal dance training please do not apply. Our schedule includes ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, & lyrical. Experience with BALLET is required.
Experience with students who have special needs is a huge plus but not required.
What to expect:
1) Phone interview
2) In-Person interview
3) Teacher observation (you would attend class at our studio to observe)
4) Director observation (you would teach a class with the director observing you)
5) Subbing opportunities through December there are MANY
6) Teach agreed upon classes January-June ending with the recital.
