Aya Art Co. is a nonprofit art organization based in Southern California that curates empowering spaces for TK - 12 youth to freely create and fully embody their unique, authentic expression. Emphasizing innovation, creative problem solving, confidence building, mindfulness, environmental stewardship, and cultural diversity, students explore art practices throughout history, natural sciences, art therapy, and expressionism while experimenting with a large variety of artistic processes and sustainably sourced materials.
After School Expressive Arts Teachers are responsible for:
Setting up the classroom at participating schools throughout San Diego
Leading a classroom of students through our weekly curriculum of projects
Tracking attendance and maintaining student artwork
Facilitating an inclusive, mindful, and compassionate environment for kids to learn
Applicants must be:
At least 18 years old and able to work in San Diego, CA
Compassionate, creative, and empowering humans who love working with kids!
Confident leading young people through creative group experiences
Fun, coachable, and interested in creating a better world through education
