Boutique Accounting Firm in Cardiff-by-the-Sea is searching for an experienced accountant to round out our team as our company continues to grow.
Our ideal candidate would have a degree in accounting, strong computer skills, advanced excel skills, a love of numbers and an analytical soul.
Experience in QuickBooks Desktop, QBOL and Sage50 (Peachtree) accounting software a plus. Minimum 5 years experience in full charge accounting.
Our company provides exceptional, personalized accounting services to a diversified client base. Our services range from weekly/monthly accounting and custom financial reporting to setting up new accounting systems, software consulting, forensic and multiple-year reconstructive accounting projects.
We provide an extremely comfortable, friendly work environment, located one block from beautiful downtown Cardiff.
Duties may include the following:
Data Entry and Bank Reconciliations
Identify and Correct Reconciliation Errors
General Ledger Reviews/Identifying Problems
Creating Journal Entries as needed
Analyze and Correct Journal Entries
Create and Maintain Excel Spreadsheets
Accounts Payable/Bill Payments/Vendor Analysis and Reconciliations
Accounts Receivable/Applying Customer Payments to invoices
Manual or On-Line Payroll Processing
Payroll Analysis/Ability to Identify and Correct Payroll Errors
Sales Tax Calculations and Preparation of Sales Tax Returns
Preparation of 1099s
Compensation:
$30.00 per hour to start based on experience. Part-Time to Full-Time, Flexible Hours. This position could progress to permanent full time for the right candidate.
