Job Summary
We are small, boutique financial services firm that focuses on income tax preparation and financial advisory services for high net worth individuals. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of accounting principles and will have a strong background in income tax return preparation.
Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze financial statements to be used in income tax preparation.
Interpret financial reports to provide insights and recommendations for management.
Prepare individual & corporate tax returns.
Communicate with clients for missing data.
Perform tax planning functions to look for future tax savings.
Utilize financial software, including Quickbooks, for efficient accounting operations.
Collaborate with internal teams to support financial planning and budgeting processes.
Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
Stay updated on industry trends and changes in tax & accounting regulations.
Skills
Proficient in financial report interpretation and analysis.
Strong knowledge of individual & corporate tax returns.
Familiarity with Lacerte & Drake Software.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed account analysis.
Understanding of Quickbooks is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
A proactive approach to problem-solving within a fast-paced environment.
