Position Overview: We are seeking a seasoned and dedicated individual to join our team as a Senior Associate Accountant. This pivotal role involves leading and managing various accounting projects, providing expert guidance to junior staff, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage complex tax preparation and planning for individuals, businesses, and other entities
- Review financial statements, reports, and documentation prepared by junior staff for accuracy and completeness
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing guidance, and fostering strong relationships
- Conduct in-depth research on tax laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and optimize client outcomes
- Mentor and train junior staff members, providing support and guidance to facilitate their professional development
- Collaborate with partners and senior management to develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance firm performance
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- Enrolled Agent (EA) certification or progress towards CPA license (preferred)
- CPA license (strongly preferred)
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working in a CPA firm or similar environment, with demonstrated progression in responsibility and leadership
- Expert knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues at all levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and client service excellence
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to work in-person at our office location
- Ability to work between the hours of 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
- Overtime required during busy tax season (January to April) and any other deadlines that may be set
