We are a very small law firm. We have right now an attorney, a paralegal, and several freelance attorneys and paralegals.
We are having a problem with slow receivables, but we may also need a much better system in general including giving people more ways to pay, notifying them more frequently where they stand on the finances, making a financial plan for the month with them, I'm not sure, but I think we need to be more organized about this. Of course, we also need help calling the clients to speed up the process of getting paid, which is the bottom line.
We're looking for some part-time, remote, freelance support (at least for now until we figure out what our needs are). We're looking for someone who can do the following:
Spearhead the collections process, ensuring the prompt and effective recovery of outstanding payments.
Develop and enforce collections strategies to minimize bad debt, optimizing cash flow.
Identify areas for process enhancement, and implement solutions to elevate overall efficiency.
Address client inquiries and concerns related to billing and collections with professionalism and finesse.
Proactively engage with clients through telephone and email channels to facilitate the collection of overdue invoices.
Participate in monthly accounts receivable meetings with billing attorneys.
Furnish daily and weekly status updates and reports to firm management.
