Our home care company is seeking a dedicated Assistant Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. This is an in-office position, and we are looking for someone who is interested in a long-term role with us.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional math skills, meticulous attention to detail, and previous experience in a bookkeeping role or equivalent work/business experience. This role performs a variety of bookkeeping and administrative duties to support the financial health and growth of our company. Key Responsibilities:

Record and maintain all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

Invoice external agencies accurately on a monthly basis within tight deadlines.

Work closely with the bookkeeper to enhance efficiency and productivity across the company.

Maintain an accurate and organized file system.

Monitor service hours for compliance with external agencies and maintain daily spreadsheet updates.

Identify and resolve financial discrepancies promptly.

Support the Service Coordinator in monitoring service hours and cross-train to fill in when needed.

Provide clerical and administrative support as requested.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a bookkeeping role or equivalent work/business experience.

Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, and expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and Google Suite (Sheets, Drive).

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse individuals.

High level of integrity and reliability, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor to represent our company positively.

Reliable transportation and punctuality are crucial for this role, as they directly impact our ability to maintain operational efficiency and serve our clients effectively.
