We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. This role requires strong technical accounting skills and proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in supporting the financial health of organizations.
Responsibilities
Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers and journals.
Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data.
Generate financial reports for management review, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
Assist in budgeting processes and monitor budgetary compliance.
Support corporate accounting functions as needed.
Ensure adherence to governmental accounting standards where applicable.
Utilize 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry.
Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with 5 or more years of QuickBooks experience.
Strong technical accounting skills with a focus on accuracy and detail.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
Knowledge of corporate accounting practices and governmental accounting standards is preferred.
Excellent financial report writing skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Familiarity with budgeting processes is a plus.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
