Established downtown law firm seeks candidate with exceptional skills for a full-time Billing Clerk / Office Assistant, in-office position.
Primary duties for this position:
Daily processing of check requests
Communication and problem solving with attorneys and assistants regarding time and billing
Data entry of costs
Process bills in conjunction with Billing Coordinator
Compile monthly billing and expense reports
Process deposits
Open new client matters
Filing of invoices, check requests, monthly reports, new matter forms, etc.
Formatting PDFs, outlines, and Word documents
Qualifications for this position:
Entry-level; some college and/or degree preferred
Knowledge of computers, Microsoft Outlook and accounting software
Extremely detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
Proficient time management skills
Superior language and communication skills
Strong work ethic with an aptitude for numbers
Ability to handle multiple priorities and duties is essential
Hours: 35 hours/week, 7-hour workdays, Monday – Friday, optional 1 remote workday per week after 6 months of employment.
Our staff works a 7-hour workday with a 1-hour lunch. Full-time staff are also eligible for medical, dental, vision, SIMPLE IRA and FSA benefits.
