Accountant, Controller – QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel Proficient: Onsite position only (not remote)
Consulting firm in Rancho Bernardo seeks Accountant responsible for general ledger maintenance of its various business entities. The Accountant's objective is to maintain accurate financial data and reporting on all the company's activities to the Directors and to maintain an effective use of cash flows for business purposes, including financial management. The firm is a leader in the field of scientific and technical information and most of its business is in the US.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
BA in Accounting, with 5+ years of experience
General ledger maintenance
Financial statement preparation
Cash flow monitoring
QuickBooks (preferably pro-advisor status)
Advanced level Excel for reporting and analysis
Excellent written and oral communication
Professional attitude
Detailed and accurate
Well organized with ability to multitask.
Responsibilities:
General ledger
Year-end financials
Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable/collections
1099 reporting, bank reconciliations
Works directly with President to achieve budgetary and financial goal;
Presents data for financial decisions/impacts
Other duties as assigned
