This role involves traditional phlebotomy tasks, including extensive processing, centrifuging, and splitting of specimens. The ideal candidate will excel in customer service, data entry, and using the LabCorp Touch system. Our intensive training program will prepare you for all necessary procedures.Responsibilities

Perform blood draws, focusing on this task 70% of the time.

Process, centrifuge, and split specimens.

Enter and manage data in the LabCorp Touch system.

Enter orders and conduct specimen splitting.

Ensure high-quality customer service.

Clean and restock work areas.

Confirm patient information.

Call doctor offices as needed.

Ship specimens and handle medical records.

Handle both pediatric and geriatric patients.

Work alongside another phlebotomist in a busy site.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in a hospital setting or with geriatric patients is beneficial.

At least one year of active phlebotomy experience preferred.

Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification highly preferred.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a patient service center, with primary working hours from Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm. The position requires standing for 50% of the time and involves interacting with both pediatric and geriatric patients. The initial training period spans two weeks and involves a full-time schedule. Candidates must be open to floating between five locations. The work environment is a laboratory and medical setting located at 675 Camino De Los Mares Ste 400, San Clemente, CA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.17 - $25.17Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
