Description As a Bookkeeper at a green-technology company in San Carlos, you will be responsible for managing our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations. This position requires a high degree of organization, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of accounting principles. Fully on-site in San Carlos, this is a temp-to-hire position. Key Responsibilities:

Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.

Invoicing: Prepare and send invoices to clients, track payments, and follow up on overdue accounts.

Expense Tracking: Monitor and record company expenses, ensuring all receipts and invoices are accurately documented.

Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the company’s budget, providing regular reports to management.

Tax Preparation: Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Financial Reporting: Generate financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, for review by management.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and assist with internal and external audits as needed.

Systems Management: Maintain and update accounting software and systems, ensuring data integrity and security.

Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the finance department, including filing, correspondence, and other duties as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping or related experience.

Skills:

Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.).

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Familiarity with tax preparation and filing processes.
