Product Manufacturing Engineer

Job Details Division: Nucor Data Systems Location: San Bernardino, CA , United States Other Available Locations: N/A Compensation: $81,000 - $94,000 (based on experience) Basic Job Functions:Evaluate current product designs and identify areas for improvement.Collaborate with design engineers to develop innovative solutions that improve product performance and manufacturability. Analyze and refine production processes to reduce costs, minimize waste, and enhance efficiency. Work closely with production teams to implement process improvements and ensure consistent quality. Provide guidance to design engineers on manufacturability during the product design phase. Ensure that products are designed with ease of manufacturing and assembly in mind.Collaborate with production, quality, and supply chain teams to address manufacturing challenges.Assist in developing training materials and provide support to production teams regarding new product designs and improvements. Lead the prototyping process for new product designs. Test prototypes to validate design changes and ensure they meet quality and performance standards. Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving product quality and production efficiency. Utilize data analysis to identify and prioritize areas for improvement. Create and maintain documentation related to product changes, manufacturing processes, and production improvements. Ensure that all design changes are accurately reflected in product specifications and manuals. Other duties as assigned.[[custsafetyState]]Minimum Qualifications:5 7 years of experience in manufacturing or product design. Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset. Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other design tools. Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and manufacturing best practices.
