Alessandro Electric Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Electrical Purchasing Agent to join our team. As an Electrical Purchasing Agent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth procurement of electrical components and materials essential for our operations. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the electrical supply chain.
Responsibilities:
1. Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with electrical component suppliers and vendors. Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and pricing.
2. Procurement: Source, select, and purchase electrical components, equipment, and materials required for ongoing projects and production. Ensure timely delivery and quality control of all purchased items.
3. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of electrical components and materials. Coordinate with relevant departments to forecast demand and maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing carrying costs.
4. Cost Analysis: Conduct regular cost analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in the procurement process. Implement strategies to optimize procurement processes and reduce expenses.
5. Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices in all procurement activities. Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry trends affecting the electrical supply chain.
6. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and invoices. Generate reports and provide insights to management on procurement performance and trends.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar procurement role, preferably in the electrical industry.
3. Deep understanding of electrical components, materials, and suppliers.
4. Strong negotiation and communication skills.
5. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
6. Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
8. Certification in purchasing or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is a plus.
