Position: Auto Body Technician

Kniesel's Collision, Inc. seeks an experienced journeyman Auto Body Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality collision repairs on various vehicles, restoring them to pre-accident condition per OEM standards and company guidelines. Your expertise in bodywork, frame repair, and refinishing will be vital in delivering the exceptional service for which Kniesel’s Collision is known.

Core Responsibilities:

Complete disassembly and vehicle assessment to assist account managers in determining damage and preparing an accurate repair plan.

Communicate effectively with Account Managers and Parts Associates to obtain necessary parts.

Plan work procedures and follow work orders for all operations listed.

Adhere closely to Kniesel’s QC SOP to ensure the highest standard of quality.

Ensure all needed repairs are identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time.

Repair or replace defective parts and properly store components to prevent damage or loss.

Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Comply with Kniesel’s Collision Core Values, guidelines, and OSHA regulations.

Assist with shop cleaning, mentor apprentices, and perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a journeyman body technician in a collision repair environment.

Proficiency with industry-standard tools and equipment, including welders, frame machines, and hand tools.

Strong knowledge of repair techniques, bodywork, and alignment methods.

I-CAR certification is a plus.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various physical positions for extended periods.
