Seeking for Assembly Technician in Aerospace industry
Location: Vacaville CA
Pay rate: $23.00-$26.00
Hours: Flexible 7am-4pm could work 20-40 hours a week
Responsibility for three main areas:
Fabrication and assembly of composite and metal parts (sub-assemblies)
May require multi-shift support, particularly during start-up
Help train new hires in building the A5 aircraft
Assembly, checks, testing, and participate in flight testing aircraft
Participation with initiatives to improve the manufacturability of the A5 aircraft (DFX)
Interface with the A5 production team and manufacturing engineers to improve the aircraft manufacturability, safety, cost, delivery, quality and lead time
Make recommendations for product and tooling change to support volume production
Support root cause analysis of issues in production and assembly using a structured format
Preferred Experience & Education:
· 5-10 years of experience with overall aircraft systems assembly/installation/repair
· Direct experience with new product introductions within the automotive, light aircraft or recreation (i.e. power boats) industries
· Strong mechanical aptitude, competent in the use of all hand tools
· Comfortable using different types of test equipment
· Demonstrated ability to work well with various departments, including engineering, production, quality and supply chain
· Able to correctly read and understand work instructions
· Ability to work independently with strong decision-making skills while under limited supervision
Ideal Experience:
· Airframe & Power plant (A&P) license
· Experience with Rotax 912 series engines
· New product introduction experience
· Composite manufacturing with carbon fiber pre-impregnated materials
· Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
· Ability to perform moderately strenuous physical work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting and working overhead for extended periods of time
