Position Summary:
We're looking for a Managed Services Support Engineer who thrives in supporting multiple clients and their end users, as well as working on basic backend tasks for small size businesses in the Sacramento area. You'll play a crucial role in managing and resolving a wide range of technical issues. This is a versatile role that combines technical know-how with interpersonal skills.
This is a 35 hours per week contract or W2 position working from home. While 90% of issues can be managed and resolved remotely, there may be times when on-site visits are required, therefore candidates must be located in the Sacramento area and able to go see clients (sometimes on short notice). Candidates must have good interpersonal communication skills. The position requires daily availability, with certain tasks being prioritized and occasional weekend projects or early morning or late evening tasks that need to be performed (it’s rare).

Key Responsibilities:
Provide end-user support for Windows 10/11, iPads and mobile phones,
Provide Outlook, Word, Excel and Office 365 support,
User Administration of Office 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint)
Troubleshoot basic wired and wireless networking issues, VPN, DHCP
User and equipment set up for new and existing users strictly adhering to a define cheklist
Ability to learn and provide basic support for 50 different line of business applications (i.e accounting software, user management apps, construction software and more)
Basic Windows Server administration (user accounts, AD/GP, DNS, DHCP, network shares)
Basic Azure Entra ID administration (user add/remove/passwords/MFA, Etc)
Big plus if:
you have experience working at an MSP
have worked with Datto RMM or any other RMM or MSP tools
Requirements:
3+ years of relevant experience
Fluent in English
Strong desire to learn & ability to retain what you learned
Located in the Sacramento area for occasional on-site client visits
Able to lift/shift IT equipment (PCs, monitors, switches as well as larger UPSs, servers, etc – with some assistance, this is rare but can happen)
Relevant certifications (a plus but not mandatory)
This is a 9am-5pm position, and rare after hours and very rare weekend emergency or project support
Must have reliable means of transportation to get to clients sites when work cannot be performed remotely.
