Full Time or Part time Fire Fighting SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus) Technician. (We will Train)
Allstar Fire Equipment Inc. has a Full-Time position available.
We are open Monday thru Friday. 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. No nights or weekends are required.
This job opening is for a qualified, SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus) Repair Technician. We will provide training and tools for the right candidate. You must be comfortable working with your hands, any type of mechanical background is a plus.
The optimal candidate could be an Electrician, retired Military, First Responder, or Auto Mechanic looking for a cleaner environment or change of pace. Quality workmanship is a must, you will be maintaining & repairing life support equipment.
This is an entry-level position with the potential for advancement.
Please note; this is not a seasonal job; this is a full-time permanent position.
Summary: Learn to Service and maintain Firefighting Breathing Apparatus. Training and tools and vehicle will be provided. Precise recordkeeping is a must.
Qualification requirements:
Maintains a safe and clean work environment. This is life support equipment that allows Fire Fighters to enter dangerous environments.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
1-2 yrs previous technician experience preferred but not required
Good communication, organizational, time management, mathematical skills
Dependable and Reliable
Inventory, Equipment maintenance, data entry, and computer skills will be required
Physical demands and abilities:
Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs.
Frequently required to sit, stand & walk some distance
Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
MUST have a clean DMV record and be able to pass a Drug Test!
