Staff Scientist (Geology, Environmental Science, Engineer) – Roseville, CA

The chosen candidate will assist with providing Trihydro’s clients and customers with effective, responsive, and safe solutions. As a member of our team, you will support our diverse range of clients, from Fortune 100 companies, to the federal government, to local communities nationwide to continuously improve human health and the environment.

In your role as a Staff Scientist, you will support and manage environmental, stormwater, and wildfire restoration projects in Northern California working with utility, municipal and private industrial clients. Experience in permitting, SWPPPs and BMP design is preferred. We are looking for someone with strong management, organization, execution and communication skills.

The preferred candidate will be based in the Sacramento area of northern California. We are considering candidates outside of this area to fill this position if they are willing to relocate to Northern California. Our team is looking for someone who has:

Qualified Stormwater Practitioner (QSP) Certification

Field work experience (site inspections)

Writing, problem-solving skills and a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables

5-10 years of relevant experience

A clean driving record

This position requires the following:

A demonstrated commitment to safe work practices

Written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, construction crews and project team members

Highly organized with a good attention to detail

Initiative and motivation, with an emphasis on completing project deliverables on schedule

Dependability, with the ability to work independently or in a team environment

Ability to travel within the Northern California region

The salary information shown below is a general guideline ONLY. Salaries are based on candidates' experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $75,000 – $90,000
