The Food Safety and Document Quality Control Specialist position offers a full-time role with a pay rate of $20 per hour. This role is pivotal in overseeing two key areas: Document Control and Compliance within a food processing plant.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Food Safety, Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field is preferred. Alternatively, a high school graduate with progressive experience specifically in this role is acceptable.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance, food safety, or related fields is required.
Experience in document control and database maintenance is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Document Management: Oversee the lifecycle of controlled documents in the electronic document management system, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Guidance and Training: Provide guidance to document owners/authors, collaborators, and approvers throughout the document lifecycle. Act as a subject matter expert and offer training on quality management systems, including document management and training.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine training assignments and ensure alignment with quality management systems.
Metrics Analysis: Generate and analyze metrics for reporting to management and cross-functional areas, identifying areas for improvement.
Procedure Revision: Revise Quality Systems procedures as necessary to maintain compliance and efficiency.
Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement initiatives within Quality Systems, contributing to the enhancement of processes and procedures.
Manage both physical and digital document filing systems
Register and maintain technical documents
Develop templates to streamline documentation processes
Coordinate information flow between project teams and external parties
Ensure compliance with document control procedures and quality standards
Oversee the document lifecycle from creation to archival
Skills:
Proven experience in document control or similar roles
Proficiency in MS Office and document management systems
Strong organizational and data organization skills
Effective communication skills for collaboration
Experience in minute-taking and comprehensive documentation
Knowledge of relevant document regulations
Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Team-oriented with the ability to work independently
Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Bilingual in English and Spanish (Preferred)
