Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our Quality team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dimensional inspection and visual quality evaluation of high-precision machined parts and assemblies. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our products meet strict customer and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of machined parts and assemblies using standard measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, etc.).
Utilize advanced inspection equipment such as CMMs, optical comparators, and vision systems.
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Accurately complete inspection documentation, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and maintain records per AS9100/ISO 9001 standards.
Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and supervisors to resolve quality issues and ensure continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with customer specifications, internal procedures, and industry standards.
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
Support internal audits and customer or third-party inspections as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in quality or inspection preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in quality inspection within a precision machining or manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection techniques.
Experience with aerospace, defense, medical, or semiconductor industry standards is a plus.
Proficiency in using hand tools and inspection equipment.
CMM programming experience (e.g., PC-DMIS, Zeiss Calypso) is highly desirable.
Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 13485, and other applicable quality management systems.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
