QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR

Precision Manufacturing is looking for a Quality Control Inspector for the day shift. We are a clean air-conditioned shop. We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector with Zeiss CMM programming experience. This person should be capable of high precision work while acting as a team player, must have a positive attitude, good communication and organization skills. We are a drug and alcohol-free work environment.

ABOUT US:

Precision Manufacturing Inc. is a precision machining/manufacturing job shop. We Just purchased a new facility in Roseville CA. Very clean, organized and air conditioned. We emphasize teamwork and a friendly work environment.

POSITION DUTIES:

Performs in-process inspections, first article, final inspections on production parts.

Completes inspection reports, history logs, and associated paperwork.

Ensures inspection documentation is complete and accurate. Identifies opportunities to simplify documentation requirements.

Provides feedback to manufacturing personnel, product engineering, and purchasing regarding the quality inspection of manufactured parts.

Operates inspection programs for automated CMM equipment.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 4 years of experience working as a Mechanical Quality Inspection in a precision machine shop.

Demonstrated knowledge and analytical skills for most inspection tools including non-contact instruments, CMM, Optical Comparator.

Intermediate experience with Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).

Strong interpersonal skills and judgment with regard to working with manufacturing personnel, managers, and professionals at various levels of the organization.

Strong communication skills, ability to clearly communicate results of quality control activities.

Organizational skills and attention to detail necessary to support multiple tasks and maintain company records.

Flexibility to adapt to changing inspection priorities based on customer demand.

Intermediate data analysis skills

Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel.

Other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Work is performed in the inspection room.

The noise level in the work environment is low.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and arms to perform repetitive motions; to sit, talk, and/or hear.

Ability to wear proper PPE for machine shop environments such as safety glasses, and ear protection.

Standing on concrete floors for long periods and frequent sitting is required.

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. repeatedly.

$34.00 - $40.00 per hour
