Position Overview: We are seeking a CNC Machine Shop Apprentice to join our talented team. As an apprentice, you will receive hands-on training and mentorship from skilled professionals in the operation, setup, and programming of CNC machines. This is a great opportunity for someone who is eager to learn, passionate about machining, and looking to advance in the manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities:
Assist in setting up and operating CNC machines for precision machining tasks.
Learn to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications.
Measure and inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the machine shop.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines as required.
Follow safety guidelines and company policies.
Work closely with experienced machinists to improve technical skills and knowledge.
Assist with various machining and fabrication tasks as needed.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in machining.
Basic understanding of mathematics and measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and take direction.
Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
Previous experience in machining or manufacturing is a plus but not required.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
