Administrative Assistant / Entry Level Paralegal
Responsibilities:
Clerical duties. Non-exhaustive examples: document processing, scanning, copying, filing. Frequently using Adobe Acrobat for basic skills such as editing, splitting, extracting. Mail processing, including scanning, naming (per our set standards), filing.
Answering calls, taking detailed messages, transferring calls, documenting impressions.
Communicating with Clients, drafting correspondence, and learning to complete legal documents.
Administrative support for legal staff including responding to immediate requests.
Qualifications:
Must be trainable and able to assimilate to existing systems and processes.
Must be willing to learn new skills and develop legal knowledge.
High computer literacy. Experience with Acrobat, Chrome, and Microsoft programs required. Experience with Clio is a plus.
Must be organized and consistent.
Must be an effective communicator and a detailed note taker.
Associate Attorney
Responsibilities:
Represent clients from the consultation throughout settlement negotiations, short cause hearings, final judgments, or trials as necessary.
Maintain records and evidence to represent clients
Negotiate effectively on behalf of clients while demonstrating the highest integrity and quality of work.
Qualifications:
J.D. degree and membership in good standing with the California State Bar
Excellent legal writing skills
Well-organized, and can work independently with little direction, willing to accept new training
Good legal research skills.
High computer literacy.
Experience managing own clients is a plus
Ability to work successfully with people from diverse backgrounds
Strong time management skills and an ability to multi-task
