Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Immigration Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in immigration law and possess excellent research, writing, and organizational skills. This role involves supporting our attorneys in all aspects of immigration casework, from client interaction to document preparation and case management.

Key Responsibilities:

Case Management:

- Assist in the preparation and management of immigration case files.

- Track case statuses and ensure all deadlines are met.

- Organize and maintain client files and documentation.

Document Preparation:

- Draft and prepare immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documents (e.g., family-based petitions, work visas, asylum applications, adjustment of status, naturalization).

- Prepare and organize evidence and exhibits for submission to immigration authorities.

Client Interaction:

- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on case progress.

- Schedule and coordinate client meetings, interviews, and consultations.

Legal Research:

- Conduct legal research on immigration laws, regulations, and policies.

- Stay updated on changes in immigration laws and procedures.

Administrative Support:

- Assist attorneys during client interviews and hearings.

- File documents with USCIS, immigration courts, and other relevant agencies.

- Manage attorney calendars and schedule appointments.

Qualifications:

Education: (Not Required but preferred)

- An associate’s degree or certificate in paralegal studies (a bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred).

- Certification from a recognized paralegal association (e.g., NALA, NFPA) is a plus.

Experience:

- Minimum of 1 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on immigration law.

- Familiarity with family-based and employment-based immigration processes.

Skills:

Strong research and analytical skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

- Proficiency with immigration case management software (e.g., INSZoom, Docketwise) and legal research tools.

- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
