Mid-sized insurance defense law firm in Sacramento seeks full time legal assistant with civil litigation experience. This is a fast-paced position which requires someone who has excellent organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, and is detail oriented and self-motivated.

Qualifications:
Minimum of a high school diploma; college degree preferred but not required;
2 years legal experience;
Understanding of State and Federal Rules of Court and California Code of Civil Procedure;
Proficient in Microsoft Office;
Knowledge of billing, data management, legal calendaring and Judicial Council Forms programs;
Knowledge of legal terminology, legal documents and legal processes;
Ability to prepare and organize discovery, motions and other pleadings including deposition notices and subpoenas;
Ability to assist in trial preparation;
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal;
Ability to work simultaneously on a variety of projects.
