Summit Comm Inc. is seeking hard-working individuals who demonstrate a willingness to learn and work well in a team setting with a desire for upward mobility. We are currently in need of new team members to fill a number of permanent positions for General Construction Laborer as well as Tower Hand/Tower Climber. Experience is not critical as we offer in-house, on-the-job training to ensure all team members fit our family culture. All new hires undergo our safety training/certification to ensure requisite safety knowledge prior to deployment into the field.
Responsibilities Include:
Climbing and working on communication towers for the purpose of installing, troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and performing maintenance of antenna equipment and towers.
Installing antennas, coax, fiber optic cables, DC power, AC power, etc. at elevated working areas.
Assembling/erecting various tower types
Performing miscellaneous labor tasks including digging, conduit installation, tying rebar, hauling/loading materials, cutting wall, ground grading, measuring, driving, earth moving, compacting, pressure washing, landscaping, labeling, drilling, painting, etc.
Performing manual labor to help maintain the work/construction site (i.e. clean and organize, trash pickup, etc.).
Working closely with a small team to accomplish assigned tasks.
Individual documentation of daily activities on site.
Heavy equipment operation.
Potential customer interface.
Reading construction drawings, plans, tower drawings and redlines as needed and performing installation per all customer requirements.
Following instructions accurately and completing assigned courses of action.
Installing antennas, coax, fiber optic cables, DC power, AC power, etc. at elevated working areas.
Potential weekly travel within the state of California.
Working throughout the year in all seasons regardless of weather conditions.
Adhering to all Company and industry (i.e., OSHA, NATE) standards/regulations.
Opportunity to climb structures to perform tasks is available:
Climbing and working on communication towers for the purpose of installing, troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and maintenance of antenna equipment and towers.
Assembling/erecting various tower types.
Minimum Qualifications:
Maintain ability to pass a drug and background screening
Willingness to learn new skills, software, and technologies
High School diploma or equivalent
Possession of a valid driver’s license
Ability to potentially travel and work outside of normal business hours to include nights, weekends, or holidays.
Working knowledge of basic hand and power tools, willingness to learn mechanical equipment, and electro-mechanical equipment
General construction experience is a plus

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Local (of Rocklin) within a 50-mile radius.
Out-of-town (assumed to be above 100 miles requiring overnight stay), and extended travel may be required. Travel would be Monday-Friday which is pretty common in this industry.
