Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in metal fabrication processes. This role involves working with various materials to build and assemble components, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process. The Metal Fabricator will play a crucial role in supporting our projects at our Winters farm and will utilize a variety of tools and techniques to achieve desired outcomes.
Responsibilities
Interpret verbal instructions to produce functional prototypes or equipment upgrades.
Design, cut, assemble and weld components to build or modify agricultural automation equipment.
Perform on-site installation, repair, maintenance and testing tasks.
Utilize calipers and other measuring tools to ensure precision in fabrication.
Produce detailed service reports and communicate updates to management.
Operate field automation systems safely, following all company protocols and policies.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and team leads to support testing.
Assist with field maintenance and equipment repairs as necessary.
Operate and train others on critical equipment and troubleshooting; ability to be certified to operate equipment e.g. tractors/trailers, forklifts, gators, etc.
Experience
1-2 years experience in metal fabrication or related fields.
Familiarity with basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various power tools effectively.
High voltage troubleshooting a plus but not required.
Valid drivers' license.
Computer skills including maintenance management software, and MS Office applications.
A commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail is essential.
