Full time Janitor wanted – weekdays – 5:30a – 2p
Skatetown Ice Arena is looking for an experienced full time Janitor who is fast pace, thorough, and takes pride in their work.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The person in this position will be required to take care of the facilities and carry out cleaning and light maintenance duties. The schedule for this position is typically 5:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. a.m. Monday - Friday.
Work includes:
Cleaning restrooms and locker rooms with Kaivac cleaning machine
Restocking restrooms and locker room supplies
Cleaning floors with autoscrubber
Vacuuming and cleaning bleachers and player benches
Cleaning parking lot
Emptying trash
Cleaning windows and walls
Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must be dependable and have janitorial experience
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Able to work in a safe and efficient manner, with attention to detail
Knowledge of specialized equipment used in janitorial services
Able to communicate effectively; to present information and respond to questions from the department manager and others; and to escalate matters appropriately
Adaptable to changing work priorities and schedule
Able to demonstrate organizational, problem solving and common sense skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:
Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, stooping
Lifting boxes or equipment (up to 50 pounds) with or without assistance
Grasping objects such as spray bottles, brushes, duster, towels, bins
Climbing stairs/standing on platforms (ladders, step stools)
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Starting pay is $18 per hour and can increase based on performance.
