Job Description: We are looking for a dependable, self-driven individual or couple to manage the daily operations and upkeep of a private duck hunting club. The position is ideal for a pair who work well together and have skills in meal planning, preparation, and execution. The perfect candidate(s) will have experience in property management, land maintenance, and waterfowl habitat conservation.
Responsibilities:
Property Maintenance: Maintenance and care of club grounds, including fieldwork, and knowledge of the use of tractors and implements like mowers and excavators. Maintain club facilities, including the clubhouse and outbuildings.
Land & Habitat Management: Operation and monitoring of water levels and maintaining blinds.
Equipment & Groundskeeping: Upkeep of roads, levees, pumps, ATVs, boats, and other equipment. Light maintenance of club equipment such as tractors and 4-wheelers.
Security & Wildlife Monitoring: Maintaining the overall security of the club property.
Handyman-like skills: A strong plus.
Hospitality: Meal planning, shopping, preparation, serving, and cleaning up during the hunting season. Housekeeping year-round.
Hunter & Guest Support: Prepare the lodge for guests and assist with guiding/hunting operations as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience in ranch/farm management, conservation, or hunting club operations preferred.
Strong mechanical skills (pump, tractor, ATV/UTV maintenance).
Knowledge of waterfowl hunting, habitat management, and wetland conservation a plus.
Ability to work independently and live on-site.
Valid driver’s license; ability to operate farm and hunting equipment.
Must pass a drug screen
