West Coast Arborists, Inc. is hiring groundworkers and tree worker positions located in the Sacramento Valley cities include Grass Valley, Nevada City, Auburn, Colfax and surrounding cities.
Provide labor under the direction of the Foreman to bring about completion of tree and landscape maintenance jobs. Involves skillful use of vehicles and equipment. Requires a strong personal consideration for safety.
Land clearing, ladder fuel reduction, and shaded fuel break work.
WORK HOURS
Typical hours are from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., five days per week. Overtime hours are available based on job needs, emergency and/or job conditions.
SALARY RANGE
Starting salary is $22.75 up to $25.30 + Fringe Benefits $11.37
Total compensation up to $36.67 per hour
Payroll is paid weekly.

QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma
Read, speak & write English
Must be physically fit & pass pre-employment physical
A valid Driver’s License
Must pass company driving test
Ability to work in adverse conditions
Reliable transportation
Wild land fire experience a plus
REGULAR JOB DUTIES
Attend crew meetings
Load and unload trucks with logs, brush and
debris weighing up to or more than 75 pounds
Properly operates limbs into wood/brush chipper
Keeps work area clean and orderly
Assist in traffic control
Services/Fuels vehicles and equipment
Cleans vehicles and equipment
Assist other crewmembers as needed
Operate brush chippers, dump trucks, chain saws and
various hand tools
