Position Overview:
The Field Operator will work primarily in trenches and on excavation sites, operating heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, and other machinery necessary for underground water maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of field experience and a proven track record of safely and efficiently completing projects in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate excavators, backhoes, and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
Work in trenches and other confined spaces while adhering to safety protocols.
Perform underground water maintenance, including installation, repair, and inspection of pipelines.
Collaborate with the crew to ensure project deadlines are met.
Maintain equipment and report any issues promptly.
Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of field experience in excavation, underground utility work, or related operations.
Proficient in operating excavators and other heavy equipment.
Strong knowledge of trench safety, excavation procedures, and underground water systems.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and project plans.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.
