Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of adults with special needs? Horizons of Hope is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Live-In Caregiver to join our team in providing high-quality care and supervision for adults ages 18–59 with developmental, mental health, and/or physical disabilities.
Position: Live-In Caregiver
Location: Sacramento, CA
Compensation: Monthly salary + room and board
Schedule: Full-time live-in position with structured time off
Responsibilities Include:
Provide 24-hour non-medical care, supervision, and support to clients in a home-like environment
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, bathing, dressing, hygiene, and mobility
Assist with self-administration of medications per Title 22 regulations
Support individualized needs and service plans
Assist with meal preparation, housekeeping, and maintaining a clean and safe environment
Participate in activities and community outings
Maintain accurate documentation and communication with facility staff and administrator
Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established safety protocols
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have previous experience working with adults with special needs in a licensed care setting
Must be able to pass a criminal background check, fingerprint clearance (Live Scan), and be drug free
Must be physically able to provide direct care, including lifting and assisting with mobility
Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willing to obtain upon hire)
Must be able to comply with all applicable Title 22 regulations for Adult Residential Facilities
Reliable, responsible, and compassionate with excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Current ARF Administrator Certification (not required but a plus)
Knowledge of licensing regulations and documentation requirements under Title 22
Bilingual a plus
