Position: Back Office Lead
Overview:
As the Back Office Lead, you will be responsible for supervising and leading the back office team, including Dental Assistants (DA) and Registered Dental Assistants (RDA). You’ll ensure smooth day-to-day operations, uphold office protocols, and contribute to the delivery of excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead the back office team, ensuring all duties are performed efficiently and professionally.
Coordinate patient flow and ensure all necessary preparations for procedures are completed on time.
Enforce infection control and sterilization procedures in compliance with OSHA and industry standards.
Assist the dentist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Oversee inventory control, including tracking and ordering supplies.
Assist in patient record management and ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
Collaborate with front office staff for a seamless patient experience.
Mentor and provide training for new back office team members.
Foster a positive and productive team environment.
Qualifications for Back Office Lead:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a dental office setting.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience is highly preferred.
Knowledge of dental office procedures, sterilization techniques, and infection control standards.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on leadership and team building.
Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in dental office software and basic computer skills.
Position: Dental Assistant (DA)
Assist the dentist during various dental procedures.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
Take x-rays of patients.
Record patient medical histories and treatment information.
Maintain a clean and organized treatment area.
Provide patients with post-procedure instructions and general oral hygiene education.
Assist with patient intake and scheduling as needed.
Qualifications:
Dental Assistant (DA): Completion of a dental assistant program (preferred but not required); excellent communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Position: Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
Assist the dentist in more advanced dental procedures, including restorations and impressions.
Take diagnostic x-rays.
Administer fluoride treatments and sealants.
Take impressions and scan for crowns, bridges, and dental appliances.
Fabricate and cement temporary restorations.
Monitor and assist with sterilization of instruments and equipment to ensure safety and cleanliness.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, diet, and post-operative care.
Qualifications:
Registered Dental Assistant (RDA): Valid RDA license in CA; experience with restorative procedures; strong organizational and multitasking skills; ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
