We are looking for a full time medical biller to join our company. The successful candidate must have a professional demeanor, excellent problem solving skills and be able to think outside of the box to get claims paid. We receive a lot of outsourced billing proposals, but we would prefer to support people in the area. Please don't waste your time or ours if you're a billing service. Must have requisite experience to be considered.
Must be in the Sacramento area.

Requirements:
3 years or more experience in medical billing. This is not an entry level position.
Experience in submitting electronic and paper claims to all carriers, including work comp
Secondary insurance billing
HMO billing experience
Knowledge of timely filing requirements
Follow up on claims with carriers, including appealing denied claims if necessary
Posting insurance and patient payments
Calls to patients with outstanding balances
Professional and enthusiastic demeanor
Excellent grammar and spelling
References from previous managers and salary history
List of medical billing software used - Epic is preferred
