We are looking to grow our team by adding a motivated Sous Chef who is organized and dedicated with a passion for food. We are a lunch and dinner upscale restaurant & lounge in the heart of Roseville that offers delicious cuisine.

The Sous Chef supports the Executive Chef in menu development, preparation of meals, management of BOH staff, cooking, prep, ordering and inventory, and cleaning along with other duties associated with running a kitchen. This is a full-time position.

Memorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portions

Cross train and work in multiple kitchen stations.
Maintain a clean kitchen, address special requests & keep guests happy!
Make all products following the portion charts and prescribed procedures within the average time as instructed.
Stocks, dates, rotates, and checks temperature of product.
Responsible to follow excellent sanitation, food handling, and safety procedures.
Maintain accurate food inventory.
Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are clean and sanitized at the end of your shift.
Safely store food items at appropriate temperatures.
Bi-lingual Spanish/English a plus!
Pay: $25 to $30.00 per hour DOE – Healthcare benefits available after probationary period.
Requirements:
Prior sous chef or similar experience (required)
Strong culinary training (formal or informal)
Hospitality and catering experience preferred
High School Diploma/ GED required
CA Food Handler’s card or must be completed within 30 days of hire
Weekend days/nights and holiday availability required.
Requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs
