Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates is a luxury chocolate boutique in Sacramento. It is a family-owned business which has been operating for 16 years and has become a cornerstone of midtown Sacramento. Our chocolates are inspired by local California farms and all the wonderful ingredients grown around us, and our product line includes cookies, chocolates, macarons, ice cream, hot chocolates, confections, and more. We are hiring a full-time Production Baker for our commercial kitchen in West Sacramento. At least one year of professional baking and/or pastry cook experience is a requirement for this job. Piping skills are preferred. Our ideal candidate is enthusiastic, positive, hardworking, and dependable. Our kitchen is fast-paced, upbeat, and professional.

Job Requirements

Scaling recipes and executing according to directions, including meringues, batters, buttercreams, doughs, caramels, and ganaches.

Upholding our established standards of excellence.

Taking daily inventories and proactively planning production schedules.

Checking and recording quality control parameters.

Working quickly and accurately to complete projects.

Learn techniques specifically needed for Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates.

Basic math and measuring skills required. Degree from a post-secondary culinary arts training program is desirable. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers and management. Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 8 hours in length. Must have the ability to lift pots, pans, etc. up to 50 pounds in weight. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to use commercial rotating oven, commercial stand mixer, measuring tools, scales, baking pans, carts and racks.
