Technical Writer

Job DescriptionInsight Global is seeking a Technical Writer to join a critical product development effort supporting the State of CA. This role will create documentation for common issues and troubleshooting steps, making it easier for support engineers to resolve incidents. Furthermore, this individual will maintain comprehensive internal documentation, including platform architecture, user and onboarding guide, troubleshooting guides, and system dependencies. The ideal candidate will possess experience a proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter and will have the experience to match.Additional responsibilities include:Properly document and make accessible The changelog and release notes currently within Jira tickets.Cleanup and refine user documentation across multiple teams.Add relevant documentation and language to fill gaps and enhance clarity.Provide necessary user experience improvements to ensure users can easily find the required information.Improve the architecture and overall user experience of existing documentation.Reduce the time required for Product Owner (PO) approval of documentation and end-user guides.Enhance the maturity and clarity of end-user documentation to improve usability.Organize documentation based on audience and intended permissions.Establish and implement standards and best practices for internal and external documentation.Audit and cleanup existing documentation, ensuring consistency and accuracy.Collaborate with multiple teams to gather and validate information.Develop and organize content to meet user needs, ensuring ease of navigation and accessibility.Propose and implement improvements to documentation architecture for enhanced usability.Standardize and maintain documentation practices and templates across teams.Write, edit, and refine technical guides, process documentation, and user manuals.Ensure all documentation aligns with organizational standards and user expectations.Target Rate: $41,500 - $61,250 AnnualizedWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
